Yes, Sofy Suite is a SaaS solution.  Sofy is available anywhere and is 24/7 available via your ‘personal’ environment.

Sofy is founded in 2014 by KPMG. Various tools were bundled together on a common platform with ready to use analytical solutions to enable clients to run their business smarter. Knowledge of different KPMG services is embedded within the Sofy platform.

Privacy & Security

All data is stored within Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Azure is a private and public cloud platform. Microsoft Azure takes this virtualization technology and rethinks it on a massive scale in Microsoft data centers around the world. Therefore, the cloud is a set of physical servers in one or several data centers that run virtualized hardware on behalf of clients. Microsoft Azure is SOC1, 2 and 3 compliant to ensure security, integrity, availability, and confidentiality of Sofy environments and your stored data.

Sofy is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. This requires Sofy to establish and follow strict information security policies and procedures, encompassing the security, availability, processing, integrity, and confidentiality of customer data. For Sofy, we have acquired a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation report for the principles: security, availability, integrity, and confidentiality.

Yes, Sofy is SOC 2 compliant. The fact that Sofy has achieved SOC 2 compliance means that Sofy has established a process and practices with required levels of oversight across the organization. Specifically, Sofy uses a process for monitoring unusual system activity, authorized and unauthorized configuration changes, and user access levels.

SOC 2 is one of the more complex requirements that technology companies meet today. It is an auditing procedure that ensures your service providers securely manage your data to protect the interests of your organization and the privacy of its clients. SOC 2 is considered a technical audit. However, there is more to it: SOC 2 requires companies to establish and follow strict information security policies and procedures, encompassing the security, availability, processing, integrity, and confidentiality of customer data. SOC 2 ensures that a company’s information security measures are in line with the unique parameters of contemporary cloud requirements. As companies increasingly leverage the cloud to store customer data, SOC 2 compliance is becoming a necessity for a wide variety of organizations. The SOC 2 procedure is about putting in place well-defined policies, procedures, and practices: not just ticking all the ‘compliance checkboxes’ with point solutions. Doing so we effectively build trust with customers and end-users with regard to the secure nature and operation or your cloud infrastructure. Whereas other compliance mandates, such as SOC 1, simply require you to pass the audit test, type 2 SOC 2 requires long-term ongoing internal practices that will ensure the security of customer information and, in turn, the long-term success of your business.

Sofy consists of a Role-Based Access Control mechanism. By this, individual (named) user accounts can be maintained and based upon roles access is provided. Sofy also has Single Sign On (SSO) integration possibilities (using SAML) to integrate with your Active Directory.

The audit trail provides detailed insight into any modifications and actions on the Sofy platform. The audit trail describes who (user) performs an action (create, apply, update, import) on which functionality with a detailed action message that shows a more detailed breakdown of the action (e.g. old version and new version).
